LOCATION: The lodge is located in the northern Serengeti, a few miles from the Mara River.
SETTING: Wrapped around the iconic Kogakuria Kopjes with views out over the northern Serengeti and Lamai Wedge.
ACCOMMODATION: 12 open-fronted rooms, split between two separate lodges: the Main Lodge of eight rooms, and the smaller Private Lodge of four rooms. All the rooms have private and spacious verandas situated within the rocks, and all have been oriented for spectacular views. Each lodge has an exclusive bar and dining area, with adjoining library and map room, and a natural rock swimming pool. All rooms have constant electricity, and en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, flush toilets, and strong showers.
HIGHLIGHTS: The best location in the northern Serengeti, close to the Mara River crossings. Great views from camp, excellent guides, and walking opportunities in some seasons. Plenty of year-round resident game. Perfect combination with our mobile Serengeti Safari Camp and Nduara Loliondo.
ACTIVITIES: Game drives, guided walks, bush picnics and sundowners.
CHILD POLICY: We are delighted to accept children 8 years and older at Main Lodge, children 5 years and older at Private Lodge; children must be at least 12 years old to participate in walking activities.
SEASONS: Good chance of Mara River crossings from July to October. November to March you'll enjoy great resident game, birdlife, few people, and fabulous scenery.
GETTING THERE: Regular scheduled flights from Arusha, Dar and Zanzibar to Kogatende Airstrip, which is then a 30-minute game drive to the lodge. You can also arrive by road from our northern Serengeti Safari Camp campsites between July and October.
OPEN: Year round except April and May.
